Obituary of Douglas A. Mosher
Douglas A. Mosher, 78, of Westbrook passed away at Middlesex Hospital on November 7th, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Prchal) Puffer Mosher. Douglas was born in Rockland, ME son of the late Evelyn M. Cummings. He served in the US Air Force from 1953 to 1958. He was employed by Electric Boat in Groton for 30 years retiring as Chief of Nuclear Quality Control in 1994 and he was a long time member of the Elks Club in Westbrook. In addition to his wife, Douglas is survived by his children, Catherine L. Mosher, of Palm Coast, FL; Jennifer M. Jarrett of Brooklyn, Rebecca L. Wrobel of Voluntown, Lori P. Lawrie of Chester and William H. Puffer of Deep River. He also leaves eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter; two sisters Janice E. Copeland of Westbrook and Jean G. Bishop of Sikeston, MO. In addition to his mother, Douglas was predeceased by his siblings Richard Mosher, Sr., Donald Mosher, Judith Menghi and George Cummings, Jr. A memorial service will be held at the United Church of Chester, at 29 West Main St., on Wednesday, November 12th at 11am.
