I am sorry to hear of Dave's death.I got to know him by working with him for years' at Glowac Grounds Care. His endless stories of his antics in the U.S. Navy, what went on in Deep River ages ago, his advice, and his general observations of life and the women passing us by made what at times was very miserable work on a hot day bearable. He was also very generous when one had no money that day for coffee at 10 AM.People like Dave are the one's you tell people about in the stories of your own life for many years after. He was anything but dull!My condolences to his family members, as he is someone who was very unique.

My deepest condolences to all the Turner family. I've only known Great Uncle Dave a very short time but I will feel his loss. It was great to meet him at the Turner family reunion in Mt Dora and to see him again at Marge's home. I hope he rests in peace now. We're very sorry we are unable to attend the services as we'll be out of the country but our thoughts will be with you all.

To Jeff, Eddie, Debra, Dan and your families,
Our sincere condolences on the loss of your father, Dave. He was one of my favorite uncles who is among my earliest memories. Included are his attempts to teach our mother, Marion, to drive a car in the mid '40s and watching as they wound up on the front lawn of our house in Saybrook. Dave was just 16 but even then, and for many years thereafter, he would engage in long conversations with our father John, Buzzy, and brothers-in-law at reunions and other occasions on various subjects usually related to engineering and science. We regret not being able to attend the services you have planned, but we will remember your Dad with fond memories.
