Obituary of Edward F. Woronick

Edward F. Woronick, 88 of Ivoryton, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2014 at Middlesex Hospice surrounded by his family. Edward leaves his loving wife of 65 years, Valerie (Dombrowski) Woronick. Edward was born and raised in Meriden, son of the late John & Anna (Spiec) Woronick. He was a proud WWII Navy veteran, he worked as a carpenter for many years, and he and his wife Valerie had lived in Vermont for 34 years before returning to Ivoryton in 2012. He enjoyed building puzzles, crossword puzzles and woodworking. In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his doting daughters; Debbie Czlapinski and her husband Ronald of Ivoryton, Valerie Mattes and her husband Bob of Washington, NJ and Wendy Vidou and her husband Ted of East Haddam, his sons Paul Woronick and his partner John Colepaugh of Washington, CT and Phillip Woronick and his wife Cathy of LaGrange, GA. He also leaves his 93 year old sister Toni Dombroski of Wallingford. He was an adoring grandfather to his 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Edward was predeceased by his son Daniel Woronick in 2009 and his siblings; Henry, Stanley,Viola Kobrin, John and an infant brother. Visitation will be held at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook on Sunday from 3-5pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Prospect St. Essex on Monday December 1st at 10:30am. Interment at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford will be private.
