My parents save the "Valley Courier" for me to read when I am "home" in Old Saybrook. I enjoyed reading about Patricia Ann. One could tell, from reading her obituary, that Patricia was well loved and loved well. She appeared to live a happy life and those who knew her loved her. Well done.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. She talked so fondly and frequently about her family that I feel like I know many of you even though we have never met. I was fortunate to have worked with Pat many years ago at CIGNA. It was my first job out of college and I consider Pat to be my first professional mentor. She was a wealth of history, knowledge and most of all common sense. Pat made working fun! We had many philosophical discussions over the years about all of the foolishness in the workplace and in the world and Pat inevitably had a better, more obvious solution. She was an inspiration to me and countless other actuarial students over the years. I am forever grateful for her guidance and starting me out on the right foot. A quiet hero. A life well-lived. May her memory be a blessing.

Please accept my condolences for the passing of Patricia. There is hope though, as the Almighty has arranged for the resurrection in the future. He promises, "... There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." (Acts 24:15) I hope you find these few words comforting and provide motivation to prepare for the new world of God's making. (John 17:3)
