Oh Wow, I can’t believe my Dear, Sweet Friend has gone to Heaven. What a Wonderful, Compassionate, Loving Best Friend she was to me. We had so many Wonderful Memories I’ll treasure them forever. When I first met Irene I had just moved from living in Collinsville Illinois for 10 years. I had a friend who went by the name Star, well the first time I saw and met Irene I introduced myself as I was new to CT. It was a long and beautiful relationship from then on, but I called Irene the name of my friend Star one time because she looked so much like my friend Star. I thought they’d been twins separated at birth. Knowing Irene’s name sometimes I’d slip and called her Star, well the name fit her to the tee because that’s exactly what Irene was a Bright and Shiny Star. I’ll always Love You Irene ( My Star) and I’ll always treasure all our times together, memories, tears and laughs and we did have a lot of these emotions and times!!!! God Bless You and I know you’re ok and we’re the ones sad because you’re now with God and I now have another Guardian Angel watching over me. My condolences to George, her Beautiful Children Kathryn, Katrina and Christopher and also their spouses. Also her Wonderful Grandchildren that Irene Loved more than Life!!! God loaned us a Beautiful Lady to have in our lives and I’m so Thankful for meeting My Irene!!!! Rest now my Dear Friend and keep shining and making everyone in Heaven happy like you did me. I’ll Always Love You!!! Sherry

I am so very sorry to hear this sad news. Irene became a second Mom to me after my own mother passed away. We shared many special lunches and memories and I will always treasure the time she shared with me.
