I knew Mr. Grief when he lived next to the railroad tracks in Deep River on Cloverdale. I work at the railroad in track maintenance, and got to know Stanley due to our close proximity. He showed me his leather working shed, and kindly made one of his leather belts with the shotgun shells for my brother-in-law, a hunter. It was always nice getting to talk to such a nice neighbor whenever I was working in that area. Please accept my condolences and those of The Valley Railroad Company.
