Obituary of Normand Bouchard

Normand J. Bouchard, Age 81, of Old Saybrook passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 26, 2020 at Apple Rehab. He was the beloved husband of the late Claudette Bouchard. Normand was born on April 9, 1939 in Saint Basile, New Brunswick, Canada. Son of Raymond and Edna (Roussell) Bouchard. Normand was a resident of Deep River for 58 years, he was a former employee at Monsanto in Deep River. Normand will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid woodworker, a huge hockey fan and he loved decorating his yard for all the children on the Christmas Polar Express. He leaves behind his daughter Pauline C. Budney and her husband Dana of Ivoryton, his son Richard M. Bouchard and his wife Susan of Washington, Maine , and his other son Norman P. Bouchard of Deep River, his six grandchildren and his two great-grandchildren. As well as his siblings Maurille Bouchard of Deep River, sister, Raymonde Thibodeau, of Maine, and brother, Enoil Bouchard, of Canada. Beside this beloved wife Claudette, he was predeceased by his brothers Euclid and Conrod Bouchard and his sister Lorraine Ouellette. Normand will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Interment was privately held by the family in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery in Chester. Arrangements were in the care of the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home in Centerbrook.
