My Davey. 67 years of friendship. We had each other’s backs. You were drafted to serve in Vietnam, and I joined to be with you. Golf, pool, fishing, the Veterans Day parade in Deep River, followed by a hug and a kiss from “our” Mom. She was so happy and proud to see us march, shoulder to shoulder. No one was ever more proud of you than I was. I felt special when I introduced you to others as “ my best friend”, David Thorpe. Losing you will always feel like a piece of my heart has been taken away.
God, please watch over my Davey. Give Mom a kiss from me. Leigh and I will be there for Rita and the family.
