my name is Renee Butler and I cared for Joan at Saybrook at Haddam. I have just come to find out of her passing and was so sad to hear this news. She was such a wonderful person that gave me such sound advice and comfort after my mother had passed. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers forever. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

I worked for Joan and Tom at the Airport during the late 70's. Joan took me under her wing and taught me how to run the office so she could have some well deserved time off. They were very good to me. I recently ran into Joan at The Saybrook at Haddam. It was so nice to sit down and visit with her. Karen and Tommy, John and the rest of the family...I am very sorry for your loss.

Dear Tom, Karen, and Judy,
Joan was very special to Ted and I, so when Judy called, it was very sad news. We talked on the phone two weeks ago, and she was hopeful about coming to Florida. I told her that a pork tenderloin dinner would be waiting for her.
She told me how she was feeling then, and I wondered if we would see her again. She will be missed very much. Always had lots of laughs and hugs when she was around.
Please know that she will always have a place in our hearts, and because of her you will also.
Love,
Penny and Ted Dickinson

So sorry to hear of your Mother's death. She was such a lovely thoughtful woman. When my mother, Hazel Archambault, died this summer your mother reminded me of some things my mother had done. She reached out to our family and consoled us.
We will not be able to attend her funeral since we are in FL, but we will be thinking of Joan and her family.
Love, Karen and Skip Hubbard
