Obituary of Joan T. Ziemba
Joan T. Ziemba, a longtime resident of East Haddam and a former resident of Chester passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. Joan was born in Hartford the daughter of Florence (Berg) and Jasper Trabucchi. Raised in Chester, Joan at an early age became a very active member of The United Church of Chester. Her gift of music was shared in her playing of both the piano and organ and she was proud to have been the Director of Music at the church for a number of years. She and her late husband Thomas F. Ziemba, Sr. formerly owned and operated Chester Airport. Joan is survived by her children, Karen J. Ventres, and her children, William and Andrew and Thomas F. Ziemba, Jr. and his wife Julie, and their children, Adele and Sam. She also leaves her sister, Judy Bibbiani and her brothers, George Trabucchi and his wife Bev, and John Trabucchi and his wife Kay, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her 14 month old son, Jesse Lanzi, Jr. A memorial service will be held at The United Church of Chester, 29 West Main Street in Chester on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Joan's name may be made to Middlesex Hospital Hospice and Palliative Care, 28 Crescent Street, Middletown, CT 06457, the East Haddam Ambulance Association, P.O.
