To the Gordon Family, I worked with Carol at Globe Pequot Press in the early nineties and have many fond memories of her. Her sense of humor and advice to me as a new mother was always appreciated. She was truly a kind soul and I am profoundly sorry for your loss.

We were both shocked and grieved to hear of Carol's passing and the struggle she had to endure over the past months. Words of condolence are not adequate, but please know your family is in our thoughts and prayers. I remember Carol as a devoted mother and wife, one who took great pleasure and pride in her family and home. I heard from Sue of her delight in the grandchildren. I knew Carol to be a person of strong faith, may you all be comforted by her belief in God and eternity.

Yale, we were so sad to hear of Carolyn's recent death. We had no idea that she had been ill. I ran into her at the Saybrook at Haddam a while back and she said she had had a mild stoke. Hadn't seen her since, now I know why.
Carolyn was a lovely person. She was kind, considerate and as it stated in her obituary loved her family. I first met Carolyn when the family moved to Chester. We played together as young kids and then moved on to Valley Regional. Please know that she will be missed by all those she met throughout her too short life.
Skip and I will be unable to attend her funeral since we are in Florida. Our hearts will be with you. With love, Karen and Skip Hubbard

Dear Yale and Family,
I spent an hour or so writing down such nice rememberances about Carol and all of you throughout our entire life. It was my way of celebrating the life of an outstanding women. And, I must say, we all had some great times together. I hope thay your memories will serve you well as they did for me. Not everyone gets to have someone so special in their lives. We have all been blessed by knowing and loving her. My thoughts are with you. Love, Rita Pettinato Landy

To the entire family - I want you to know we are thinking of you, you are not alone and neither is Carol. Her family, Clamp and Andrew (my father) are with her and showing her the ropes, she is in very good hands. At a time like this there is nothing anyone can say to make you feel better. Do be glad for the time you did spend with your wife and mother, be glad to know one day you will see her again and it will be like she never left your side. Be glad to know she is happy, she is walking, talking and enjoying. Everyone has and will continue to tell you she is no longer in pain - this is true, however you are now in pain without her. Please know I am here (I wish I could be there) to listen, if you want to talk, to put my arms around you if you want to cry, to laugh with you when you want to tell stories about Carol.
My heart is with you all and Suzanne, my love is with you most of all!
