Obituary of Robert Lizotte

Robert G. Lizotte, age 61, of Ivoryton, passed away on Thursday evening, March 13, 2014 at the Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. He was the beloved husband of Mary Patricia (Hofemann) Lizotte. Bob had been a resident of Ivoryton since 1997 and was formerly of Somersworth, New Hampshire. He was born in Augusta, Maine on October 8, 1952 the son of Eldon and Lorraine (Fortin) Lizotte of Augusta. Bob and Patti were married on May 4, 1985 in Kittery, Maine and enjoyed 28 years of marriage. Bob had worked for over 30 years at Northeast Utilities and for the past 10 years was the Director of Labor Relations for the company. He was an avid sailor and also greatly enjoyed his yearly family vacations to Disney World in Florida. Bob was a communicant at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Essex. He was a loving and wonderful husband and father. Besides his wife Patti and his parents he leaves his sons, Gregory R. Lizotte and Garrick D. Lizotte, both of Ivoryton, his twin brother, Richard Lizotte and his wife Marcia, of Bangor, Maine, brother, William Lizotte and his wife Elizabeth, of Palmer, Massachusetts, and his many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 18th at 11:00AM at Saint Joseph's Church, 48 Middlesex Avenue in Chester. Burial will be privately held in Saint Joseph's Cemetery in Chester.
