Dot was one of the nicest parts of many Chester kids' memories, including mine. I can see her now, sitting at her desk in the school office (and I admit it, I was sent to the office kind of a lot). She and her husband defined the term "salt of the earth," true but humble icons of our town. Wish there were many more like her. My family's condolences to her family.
