Harry and Hazel were two of my best friends while I lived at Saybrook at Haddam. We used to sit together during warm afternoons or in the evening watching the sunset. Harry told me many of his happy memories while he was young, a great man who taught me love and kindness. I will miss him greatly.

My condolences to all the family on your loss. I often think of Harry when listening to the Riverwalk Jazz show. When they mention the great stars of jazz, I can always recall Harry praising each one and how he admired their abilities. And I can never forget all the compliments he gave me as I was growing up, especially that he thought I looked just like Elizabeth Taylor (in National Velvet).

I've known Harry and Hazel my whole life. My
dad, Sam Orr, was Harry's roommate at UCONN. He was one of my favorite grown-ups and I am sad that I did not know sooner or I would have been there. My best to Karen, Ray, Tom, and Mary. Fondly Pat Smith

I knew Harry through Black Hall Club and have great memories of a friendly, kind and 'down to earth' guy. There wasn't ever a time that you found him in any kind of a foul or unpleasant mood. He set a standard of how to behave and how to be around others. I always felt a little bit better after bumping into him. I never knew him well, but in knowing his daughter Karen, it's obvious that this man was special. I'm glad he won the race of life and lived ninety eight years. He made this earth a better place!

Sending heartfelt sympathy to Karen and Ray and siblings, and your extended families, for the loss of a man I much admired. Hazel was one of the loveliest women in Chester, and I used to see Mr. Archambault in his suit and tie at the end of the work day heading back to his home. Knowing the Archambault Family is one of the happiest memories of my childhood--I actually saw Karen at Mass at St. Joseph's some years ago and was so pleased to reconnect with her. Please know that a fellow Chesterite shares your loss. Chester was a much better place to live because the Archambaults were there.

Dear Mary,
I am so saddened to hear of this loss of your father. He was a great man and it is evident in you, his beautiful daughter. I feel so glad to know you. You carry such a grace and spirit in you that is and must be in part from him. Although he will be missed by all who knew him, you take that part of him with you where ever you go brightening up the world. I am sure that he is proud of you, always. Bless you and your family and all who knew him. I wish you comfort and peace.

Dear Archambault family,
My very deepest and most sincere condolences.
"The end of an era" for you, indeed. Words can do so little to ease the pain of loss -- but how fortunate you are for the many, many years of wonderful memories of parents who were both blessed with long lives.
