Mrs. Szymanski was our son's kindergarten teacher in 1990. She recommended he attend "Readiness", a class in between kindergarten and first grade, primarily for the daydreamers to get their act together. I called her up and asked to meet, so I could better understand the decision. We met at 7:30 in the morning, in the classroom and she instructed me to take a seat...do you have any idea how small those desks are, ha! I told her I supported her decision, just wanted to know more about it and she asked my,if I really knew what I wanted to do at either 18 or 19, so what difference would it make? She made a lot of sense, and I truly believe that Kevin was able to perform considerably better as a result of the decision! We lived on Mares Hill and Sandy lived at the top of the hill, I would often see her collecting her mail, I'd stop my truck and she'd always ask how Kevin was doing in college, she was that type of a person. Our condolences to the family, we shall always fondly remember her and the impact she had on our family, and I'm certain we're not alone! Thank you, Sandy, rest in peace!
