Obituary of John Wallace Henry

John Wallace Henry, 67, passed away Saturday April 16, 2016 unexpectedly at his home in Essex, CT. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Perrin) Henry. Mr. Henry was born August 21, 1948 in New London, CT. He is the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Blair) Henry. He was born and raised in Essex, married and settled with his family in Cheshire, CT where he lived for many years. Mr. Henry returned to Essex 15 years ago. He was a graduate of Valley Regional High School and Quinnipiac College. He retired from Yankee Gas where he worked as a transportation analyst. From an early age, he was an avid Yankees fan and was often found boating down the Connecticut River. He enjoyed spending time at his second home in Cape Cod. He loved being with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife Susan he is survived by his daughter Sarah Warzycha and her husband Peter of Cheshire, CT, his son Christopher Henry and his wife Amanda of Branford. He will be missed by his four granddaughters; Kate, Hannah and Isabelle Warzycha and Nellie Henry. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Centerbrook Cemetery on Westbrook Road in Centerbrook, CT. There are no calling hours.
