Obituary of George W. Lynch
George W. Lynch III of Deep River, 75, died peacefully at home Friday, July 1st surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marion (Nash) Lynch; his siblings Dr. Peter K. Lynch (Barbara), Richard D. Lynch (Cheryl), Christopher J. Lynch (Dawn) and Norina C. McCarthy(Mike). His four devoted children; Deirdre Lynch (Blaise)of Floral Park, NY, Deborah Simms (Matthew) of Skippack, PA, Andrea Trezza (Michael) of Ivoryton CT, and Dean Lynch (Donna) of Holbrook, NY. He is predeceased by his parents Veronica and George W. Lynch Jr. of Baldwin, NY. He is survived by his nine loving grandchildren: Samantha Muscarnera, Elizabeth Simms, Lauren Muscarnera, Ryan Simms, Emily Trezza, Rachel Trezza, Joseph Muscarnera, Cameron Lynch, and Jaden Lynch. George was born and raised in Baldwin NY, graduated from Farmingdale University, and was a member of the United States Air Force. George was a fifty plus year member of the Operating Engineers Local 14- 14B who ran High Boom Cranes in New York City. Over his distinguished career, he worked on many important projects in the city, one of which (his favorite) was putting the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree up every year. He was highly respected by his peers as being one of the best in the business. George was an avid fisherman and boater. He also enjoyed woodworking, model building, classic cars, hunting, and watching the hummingbirds in his backyard. George loved spending time with his grandchildren, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7th from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 8th at 10:30AM at Saint Joseph's Church, 48 Middlesex Avenue, in Chester.
