Betty Glendinning was a very dear friend. She was also the Director of Nursing at Norwalk Hospital where I was a student nurse from 1967 to 1970. She was a mentor to me. After graduation, I saw Betty often, while visiting my family in Nantucket. After moving to California, and then Colorado, I did not see her for many years but I never forgot her. She was very special to me, and I loved her dearly. I will miss her wonderful sense of humor, her laugh, and her words of wisdom. I feel privileged to have been able to call her a friend.
