I grew up always knowing Chazz and his family. Almost every Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas dinner was shared with the Fenger family when i was growing up. I am so glad that my two daughters, Madeleine and Caitlin and my wife had the pleasure of sharing some of these holidays together.

As a result of "our moms'" involvement in Old Saybrook politics and civic activities, our families developed a deep and lasting friendship spanning 45+ years. I will always cherish the wonderful memories of weekends in Vermont, holidays at 488 Main Street and Schoolhouse Road, weddings, and the arrival of the next generation. You are gone way too soon, my friend, but will live on in our hearts. Chip and Jordan, my heart goes out to you.

Helene and Jordan - please know that I am thinking of you and you are in my heart. Charlie was one heck of a guy and we all had some great times up here in "the Burgh". I know you will miss him terribly, perhaps you will find some comfort knowing he is not suffering any more.
I wish I could come down and be there for you but, unfortunately, we have a funeral to attend that same day.
I hope you can find some ease knowing that so many people loved Charlie. May your memories be serene. Love you guys!

I worked with Charlie at CNF Constructors and Kenetech during the 1990's. I also accompanied Charlie and others to Montreal for the Formula 1 races where I got to know him on a more personal basis.
My condolences on his passing. He went too early!

Truly a sad time but thankful to have SO MANY wonderful memories with Chazz and family growing up. As a kid it was always Chazz and my father bringing Jordan and I on trips to the Haddam fireworks, to skiing, and of course to great weekend get-togethers. I'm quite certain our two families invented the word traditions as these continued on into my adult life with Super Bowl get-togethers, football games, Easters, birthday parties, whatever it wasand he was always so kind to my girls, of course with the influence from Chip! Whether I was buying a hammer or houseChazz's input was always critical to making me feel like I got the right oneand I always knew when he showed up on some sort of journey to get a hot dog with my dad, he would be happy to show me how my water softener worked, or how to make my grass green. It will be tough to move forward without him, but so glad I got to know him so well.

Our very deepest sympathies to our dear friend Chip and Jordan for the "much too soon" passing of Charlie.
He will be dearly missed for his delightful sense of humor,
wisdom and "knowledge of just about anything" conversations.
We will miss our lunches and dinners together and the laughs we shared. I will personally miss making him Christmas cookies. All our love, Don amd Bev

Charlie was my first boss out of college with Gemma in Port Neches Tx. It's been 10 years and I still consider him my favorite boss! He made me laugh every single day! I tell stories about Charlie often about chauffeuring him to buy stuffed porkchops and doing his fantasy teams which were much more important than I ever realized. He will be missed! My condolences to his family.

This is for Chip and Jordan. I will remember 53 solid years of knowing Chazz. Countless miles of sailing and racing up and down the East Coast. Hitting the slopes in New England with our kids to our more recent years of bowling and golf. You always had my back as I had yours. You were always there as my Mccgyver guy that could bail me out when I messed things up.You were my co pilot the last several years on our weekend drives around CT. Man I am going to miss you! To you my friend MY HEART SOARS LIKE A HAWK
