Obituary of Everett Wright Jones

Everett W. Jones, 91, a lifelong resident of Deep River, CT, husband of the late Jane (Marvin) Jones, died peacefully Saturday, December 3, 2016 after a brief illness. Cy, as he was known by many, was the son of the late Cecil and Marion (Wright) Jones. He was a Navy veteran having served during WWII as an airplane mechanic in Virginia. Early in his career he owned a Mobil gas station and was than employed with various companies as an independent trucker. Everett was always busy either maintaining his equipment, working outside or helping a friend. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and quick wit. Everett is survived by Arline P. Jones of Manchester, CT. His sister, Judith Brown also of Manchester, and his brother, Judson B. Jones of Old Saybrook, CT. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 10:00AM with Everett's funeral service being held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00AM. Burial with the rendering of Full Military Honors will follow in the Cypress Cemetery, Route 153 in Westbrook.
