Obituary of Roy L. Gregory

We sadly announce the passing of Roy L. Gregory III, on February 13, 2017. Roy was raised in Canton, CT with his brother and sister, Gary and Patricia, where he found his passion for golf, he became a member of the USGA and PGA. After his long tenure as the Pro at Old Lyme CC he changed careers to become a successful investment broker. Roy is survived by the loves of his life, his wife Diane, his daughter Jennifer, and his four awesome grandchildren; Max, George, Charlie and Greta who will retell the stories of happier times to keep his memory bright and theirs from dimming. He was predeceased by his daughter Betsey. We will miss his infectious stories, his great humor, his forever love of fishing, crabbing, gardening and the Boston Red Sox. A celebration of his life will be held on February 24, 2017 at the First Congregational Church of Essex, 6 Methodist Hill Road at 11:00AM, followed by a reception at the Essex Yacht Club.
