Obituary of John Haydu

John Haydu, 45, of Essex, passed away on March 29, 2017 in his home. He was born on June 24, 1971 in Budapest, Hungary, son of the late John Halidis, survived by his mother Maria Halidis and his three children Aryanah, Alexander, and Isabella. He was beloved as a veteran of the Army and later the owner of Deep River Pizza from which he provided charitable donations whenever possible. John never failed to put others before himself and devoted his life to his family and his community. He also leaves his brother, Vasilis Halidis, his sister, Tasoula Halidis, his nephews Andreas, Gabor, Leo, and his nieces Alexandra and Sophia. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the Robinson,Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook. Funeral services will be privately held by his family. Interment will be in the Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River.
