Susan and I were childhood friends. We hung out after school and on long summer days, practiced gymnastics (one time we decided to go to neighborhood house to house charging .25 cents each for a routine performance in their front lawn - unfortunately only once because Susan did a backbend and broke her arm!) Fortunately she had a lot of signatures and drawings on her cast.
Susan loved to draw (mainly animals) and was a very talented, creative artist with a sense of humor reflected in her animation. When she wasn't being studious, she was doodling on everything she could (notebooks etc.) and even when she was studying; it was in her being and helped her think I think.
We would have sleep overs and watch the Carol Burnett Show with popcorn. It was fun!
She liked to bake after elementary school, we would bake brownies and chocolate chip cookies. I think after NYC East Side living and 911, she came back to CT (we caught up at Shady Glen when I was visiting family from Seattle for Thanksgiving and met her two lovely daughters by happenstance and we reminisced. It was nice.
Susan was quiet, thoughtful and respectful. She got along with everyone; well-liked likewise. Her talents will be greatly missed personally and professionally; such a loss of a very special person and a loved friend!
I heard of this sad news and wanted to share my condolences and memory to family, friends; also therapeutic for me.
Last night I heard of Susan's passing. Being still in-shock this morning another one bites the dust' came to mind (I thought to myself that may be construed as disrespectful; not my intent validated).
Turned on the radio and the first song was Another One Bites the Dust' Susan your humor prevails and lives on! RIP
Sorry for your loss and my sincerest thoughts and prayers are with you - Greenberg family!

Mr. And Mrs. Greenberg and family, I am so saddened and sorry for the loss of Sue. My prayers are with all of you. I have some excellent memories of Sue from junior high and high school. I can bring up in my mind silly pictures of her to go along with the crazy antics we shared. Thinking of you at this sad time.
