Obituary of Patricia Anne Foster

Patricia Anne (Mitchel) Foster, 84, of Essex, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 1, 2017, at home. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 27, 1933, daughter of William A and Florence (Carlson) Mitchel. She was predeceased by her parents and one brother, William C Mitchel. She is survived by her sons, William and Andrea (Mrazik) Foster of Chester, Mark and Wendy (Berggren) Foster of Ivoryton, Matthew Foster of Ivoryton, Jonathan and Dede (Wills) Foster of Essex. She also leaves her grandchildren Britt and Beryl, Bethany, Aaron and Jessi (Marshall) and Emily, Dana, and great-grandchildren Madaline and CaliRose, and Ezekiel, also seven nieces, nephews and their spouses and children. Pat moved with her boys from Wethersfield in 1966, and for many years was owner/partner of Eastland Yachts of Essex, where her love of the water was quickly passed on to her sons. All the while she loved gardening; her home was always so well cared for and maintained. She was always happy to lend her eye and experience to anyone who had questions about what to plant and where, and how might it look. Her final days were spent surrounded by loved ones, and looking out at her birds over her garden. Visitation will be held Saturday July 15, 2017 at the Robinson, Wright, Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook from 4:00PM to 6:00 PM, followed immediately by a gathering at 24 Falls River Drive, in Ivoryton.
