There are NO words to describe the void left in the world, in any and every place you would be. I tried so hard to be what you needed, but i couldnt be. And that is something that i will carry with me forever. I will miss your big bear hugs and your laugh. your smile. Your kindness. your voice. I am so sorry. love you forever.

Ken: Belatedly I've caught up with your dreadful family news and want to offer my wish for solace to you and all your loved ones. You know me in person only from the Planning Commission, and I'd never met Abe. But his obituary struck highly emotional chords for me associated with the sudden death of my wife's sister (I was in Vietnam at the time and of necessity missed her funeral) and also my long-held respect for recovery efforts offered at High Watch Farm.

Dear Abe,
It has been a week since that night. I was watching a movie in the comfort of my home. Kids with friends, husband asleep. My phone rang, it was Ness, it went to voice mail. I was tired. Then my phone lit up with texts, with images of words that I will never forget. I started to tremble but yet remained calm. I thought of mom, of you, of nessa. I stood up and paced, called nessa, she was hysterical, so scared Abe. If you were there you would have grabbed her, held her tight. I was too far and couldn't. Dave called , fear in his voice. I was shaking, I called the police and he told me, this man on the other line, he sounded young, in control and sincere. I raced to Chris , we had to get to mom. She didn't know, I had to tell her. I had to tell her you were in trouble, that your heart had given out, that you had left us, me, her, nessa, brodie, everyone. We came to your side as fast as we could. Through the dark night , in fear and disbelief. You were there, but not really. Mom and I came in to see you. I tried Abe but I couldn't reach you. It felt like a glass wall shattered in front of me and my eyes closed so tight as to not get hurt, to avoid the shards. Mom went to you and held you so very tightly . She held her boy and kissed you. You gave life your all Abe. You fought long and lived the best you could. You brought light, laughter and love wherever you went and offered everything you had. Avery and Spencer adore you and will suffer at your loss. I am trying to be strong for you, not allowing myself to slip in to a darkness of what I might have been to you or should have done for you. Please know I loved you with all of my heart, near or far. I will look for you in waves and sand, in sun and stars. I will honor you as best I can. Good bye little brother.

Abe was a bright light at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lime Rock. Alice Tweed said of him, "Now we have our own Abraham!"
All of us at Trinity Church will miss him very, very much and we have honored him in our worship I believe that some in our community will be able to attend the service on Sunday.
Daya, I so enjoyed meeting you, and your love for Abe was so evident. I am SO sorry for your loss, and I hope to be able to be there with others from our NW Corner. Take heart. God loves Abraham, and welcomes him into the blessed rest of everlasting peace.

When I was roommother in Abe's first grade class, I used to bring him in breakfast many mornings before school started as he was so hungry. He was the sweetest, kindest and most loving boy. He reminded me of my brother- a little bigger than the other kids but one of the hidden gems! He had the greatest laugh and was very smart. He loved his family above all things and wanted to be just like his Dad and his mom. What a gentle guy!! Rest In Peace and may God forever watch and be with you. Love Shawn Drag's mom Debby King
