Obituary of Darlene Rankin Tiezzi

Darlene Tiezzi (Rankin) died unexpectedly on Feb 23, 2018 at her home in Chester, CT. She was born on December 1, 1944 to Suzanne Lougee (Balosie) and the late Robert Richard Rankin. Darlene was predeceased by her husband, Richard U. Tiezzi of Chester, her stepfather, Donald E. Lougee of Old Lyme, her step mother, Fay Rankin (Heim) and her father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Helen Tiezzi of Chester. Darlene is survived by her two children, Ellen McDougall (Tiezzi) of Essex and Michael Tiezzi of Deep River. "Nonnie" also leaves seven grandchildren: Aaron Tiezzi, Erica Sigersmith, Bryce McDougall, Allison McDougall, Troy Tiezzi, Madison Tiezzi, Carter Tiezzi and two great grandsons, Aaron Tiezzi Jr. and Grant Tiezzi. She is also survived by her siblings: Marilyn Sicord (Rankin), Robert Rankin, Russell Rankin, Jay Rankin, James Rankin, Robert Gahran and her brother-in-law Joseph Tiezzi and her sister-in-law Linda Parrish (Tiezzi). She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, friends and extended family. Her family also wishes to send a special thank you to her neighbors who could always be counted on to keep a watchful eye on "Darl". Friends may call at the Robinson, Wright and Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St, Centerbrook, CT on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 from 1:00-3:00PM with a service following immediately afterward lead by Tim Haut from Deep River Congregation Church.
