It feels like I've known Eleanor all my life, but in the past 16 years, she's become like a favorite aunt. She was a woman, full of grace and love for others. Many years ago, as my mother lay dying, it was Eleanor who brought hot food to my sisters and me as we kept vigil. And, on the day of my mother's memorial, she hosted a picnic for our entire family. She'll never know how much that meant to me and just how much I've loved her for her outpouring of love, kindness and support. I know that Eleanor is now in heaven, celebrating her arrival with other family members who have gone before. I know that she has already stood face to face with Jesus and I have no doubt that he welcomed her with open arms.
