Obituary of Eleanor K. Moisa
Eleanor K. Moisa of Old Saybrook passed away peacefully at Middlesex Hospital on March 3rd, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Eleanor was born in New Britain on October 17, 1927, daughter of the late Edward and Catherine Kowalczyk. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Moisa and daughter, Kathryn Moisa. Eleanor is survived by son, Donald Moisa and his wife Ginny and her daughter Eleanor Gibbs. Eleanor also leaves behind grandchildren, Eric Moisa and wife Melissa, Daniel Moisa and wife Lindsay, Katherine Gibbs, Edward Gibbs and Danielle Gibbs along with great grandchildren, Trent, Madison and Alexandria Moisa. Eleanor leaves her sisters, Geraldine Achenbach and husband George and Barbara Vitali and husband the late Joseph, Brothers Edward Cole and wife Joan, and David Cole and wife Janice along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Eleanor spent many years working in the family construction and insurance businesses. Eleanor was a passionate member of Saint John Roman Catholic church in Old Saybrook. In her spare time, Eleanor enjoyed spending time at the beach, playing golf and with her friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 8 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00AM at Saint John Church, 161 Main Street, Old Saybrook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Lions Low Vision Center of Eastern CT. Inc. P.O.
