As I got to know and like Doreen i quickly fell love with her not because of her bueatiful smile, whimsical personality, her faith in her churches and church families, her seemingly endless desire to be concerned and caring for other people, but because all those things came genuinely from her heart and soul. She was challenged and successfully achieved events all her life to be the best person she could be.
The second born child of 7 siblings she subsituted as a baby sitter and mother. As a nurse she was a caring health healer. As a single mother of a teenage son she successfully became, not only a loving and caring mother, but stern and devoted father-figure. Then came the financial, professional and domestic challenges. A successfully and award winning sales person, a devoted and loving wife and home maker, a loving and caring stepmother to grandchildren, a successful and very knowledgable antique dealer. To the end Doreen met all these challenges with dignity, self respect and love for family, friends and strangers. She will be missed by all, especially by me. I love you and ALWAYS will "honey-bear".
