I met Karl when I was 15 attending the Guilford ABC program. He was always quiet, aloof, intelligent, and yet a very strong presence in my life. Once I was watching television with his son Logan, and he walked in, turned off the televsion, and said "Outside". As a latch key child I was so accustomed to using the television to keep me company, and occupy my mind. That one act changed my life. While I still love television, I have found a plethora of outdoor activities to interest me and expand my life experience.
Karl has been in my life at times, when I needed someone to keep me moving. His no nonsense attitude about life's trial's and tibulation have pushed me through when I was in danger of getting stuck.
This man has accomplished many amazing things in his life, and contributed many artistic gifts to the theater world. Over the years he has shared his love of books with me which has helped me to appreciate the value of the written word.
When I met him his name was Karl. During the last years that I knew him, I called him Pops because that is was what he became to me.
Much love and light to you Pops. You will always be in my prayers.-Penny
