Obituary of Karl B Leabo

Karl B. Leabo Jr.–artist, cartoonist, mountain climber, veteran, grandfather, father and friend–died September 19, 2011, in Middletown, CT. He was 79. Karl was born in Portland, OR, to Mary Dippery and Karl B. Leabo Sr., on November 4, 1931. Karl is survived by sisters Mary L. Johnson of Vancouver Washington and Loella L. Stevens of Helena Montana. His sister Gloria Mae MacMurray died December 12, 1983. Karl leaves behind three sons and spouses: Sean and Lori LeBas, Karl and Gale Leabo, Logan and Abbie Leabo; six grandchildren: Konrad, Maxwell, Philip Wylie, Nathaniel, Kaya and Jasper; and his friend and companion, Nancy Walsh of Old Saybrook, CT. At Karl's request, there will be no services.
