Dear Camille,
I feel compelled to refer to you as Miss. Castaldi as I knew you when I was a student in your 5th grade class in Powell's Lane Elementary School. But, I know better. I still recall a lesson you taught me in referring to others properly. For some forgotten reason I referred to some girl in class as a "dame" and you jumped on that slip of my tongue and until right now I have not utterred that word again. Effective teaching! Thanks.
It has been some time since we have visited, but I want to assure you I have fond memories of class and the summertime socializing we did out east. I remember fun, fun, fun. Good stuff.
I want to express my deep sympathy for your loss. Nothing can ease the feelings of loss and pain right now. I wish for you that those feelings subside over time and are replaced with the many wonderful memories you made together.
With warm regards and deep sympathy,
John Erikson
