When he shall die
Take him and cut him out in little stars
And he will make the face of heav'n so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.

Chick was not only my husband's doctor but also my parents,Roger and Jinks Hartt, who also lived on the Old Post Road. I know he was very highly thought of in the medical community and at Bridgeport Hospital where my mother was a very active volunteer. When Chick and Loraine moved to Essex Meadows they lived across the hall from my father's sister, Janice Roberts and Al and I had a chance to reconnect with Chick and Loraine. Our deepest sympathy to all the family. Judy Hartt Acker

To all of Chicks children and their families, please accept our condolences. Chick was a special person. He was a great professional colleague and was very instrumental in helping me establish my practice 35 years ago. He was also our doctor until his retirement. More importantly he and Lorraine were our neighbors and friends. He and Debby were fellow master gardeners; tools and produce frequently went up and down the OLd Post Road. No one was more competitive on the tennis courts and matches with him and his sons were always memorable. We remember man Memorial Days sitting on the curb watching the parade. Fishing on Nantucket was always an exciting event. I clearly remember one late evening rowing his boat overloaded with bluefish through the surf to our waiting wives at their house in Quidnet. Yale football games were a regular event. Chick and I once sat through a Harvard-Yale game when the temperature was near zero with 30 knot wind by games end. The stands were empty but there was no way we were leaving, Chick and Lorraine were friends we will never forget-smart, kind, generous and great fun to be with. We know the family will share wonderful memories

As a young physician at Bridgeport Hospital 35 years ago I greatly appreciated what a fine man Chick was. I greatly enjoyed partnering with him in our hospital tennis tournament a number of times. He loved the game. My condolences on the loss of a very special man, and a fine physician.

I was Dr. Williams "Medical Assistant" from 1955 to 1959, starting when he had been in private practice for only one year. He was a wonderful boss, a dedicated teacher and an incredibly caring and ethical physician. As time passed, he also became my family's physician as well as our friend.
I am truly saddened to learn of his passing. My condolences to his children, especially to Jeff and Dave, whom I know as adults. Dr. Williams was a fine gentleman and I am so lucky to have known him and had him in my life.

I was so sad to learn of the passing of Dr. Williams. I worked in his office for over 5 years. The picture you have of him on his obituary is exactly how I remember him. He was an incredible, passionate doctor. He would fight for whatever his patients needed. He could be firm with them but also enjoyed sharing jokes with them. He was exactly the kind of person anyone would want taking care of them. I truly enjoyed working for him and have many fond memories of the croquet parties at his home and our yearly Christmas parties. Please accept my condolences for your loss. May your memories help you through this difficult time.
