I think I may have just purchased something created by Mrs. Carlson. It is a framed needlepoint reproduction of Honore Fragonard's "The Souvenir". The only difference between the painting and the needlepoint is that the woman depicted is carving an "E" in the tree instead of an "S". It's my understanding, after a bit of research, that the carved letter is the initial of the woman's true love. In this case, I'm thinking that's Eric Carlson? Does that sound plausible? The needlework is very nice indeed...I was really taken with it.
