Obituary of Evelyn S. Gill

Evelyn S. Gill, 88, of Killingworth died at Middlesex Hospital on April 19, 2013 after a short illness. Beloved wife of the late Edward R. Gill. Born in Old Lyme, Evelyn was raised in Killingworth for most of her life. She was a longtime member of the Killingworth Congregational Church, where she was very active in the rummage sales, held various positions in the VFW Auxiliary, belonged to both the Killingworth Seniors and Wednesday Eves Group. Evelyn is survived by her children; Russell and his wife Denise Gill of Colorado, Ruth Gill Greco and her husband Richard and Charles Gill all of CT, as well as her sister Delores Stevens of FL, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her brothers Carl & Arthur Groat. Funeral services will be held at the Killingworth Congregational Church on Friday at 10am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn's name may be made to the Killingworth Congregational Church, 273 Rt. 81, Killingworth, CT 06419.
