We were so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Wayne was a good neighbor, a kind and gentle man. We met your folks when they first moved to the neighborhood. We were new to the neighborhood too. Our deepest sympathy to all. Marlene and Jeff Bergart

What a beautiful obituary of such a special person as Wayne! It captures so accurately the essence of the wonderful person my late wife Linda and I considered one of our dearest lifelong friends. Wayne was a year behind me at Brown, and I'll always remember his extremely kind, genial, warm nature. I have countless fond memories of Wayne and his generosity and hospitality. I am profoundly saddened to read about Wayne's premature passing. I hope that it will be of some comfort to Lisa and Lauren to know that you and your families are in my thoughts at this terrible time of bereavement. With my sincerest condolences,
Greg Eramian (London, Ontario, Canada), and with deepest gratitude to Chris Ricci for informing me of this tragic event.

Dear Family,
I had the wonderful pleasure of working with Wayne in the HR department at DEC back in the early 80's. I remember his kindness toward me and his ready laugh. God Bless him and your family as you mourn his loss. Treasure the memories.

Wayne and I grew up together and graduated in the June 1961 Hope High School class. Wayne and I,and another classmate, Terry Martiesian, were very close. Wayne and I shared a passion of flying model airplanes, during our teen years. After high school, I went on to become a captain of a major airline, as he went on in the world of business and broadcasting. But we always shared our passion for aviation till the end. Wayne surprised me in July of this year, when he appeared at MY mom's funeral in Providence. He will be sorely missed.
GOD be with you, my friend.

Carole and I are both still in shock over Wayne's passing. He was a lifelong friend, with a friendship that started during our teenage years while he was at WICE working as a disc jockey. The DJ's all had fictitious like John S. Kennedy for example. His radio name was "Wizzer White", named, I believe, after some famous football player. Well, between us, that name stuck, throughout the years, I often called him Wiz and his name for me was Roysky as if to make me a brother Pomiansky???
In recent years, he frequently worked on my weekly cable productions. Wayne fit the bill when it came to interviewing important guests, in and out of politics, that needed a well-researched interviewer to make the shows quality shows that made us proud. He regularly hosted International Forum without hesitation, earning respect from those who watched and those he interviewed. He conducted several Skype interviews with retired Israeli Ambassador Yoram Ettinger from Jerusalem, who sent the following note....
Please convey my condolences to the family of Wayne, whom I shall remember as a concern, curious, intelligent and considerate human-being; a pleasantly probing TV moderator.
Yoram, Jerusalem,
May he rest in peace.
Wayne was a great friend and we will miss his presence in our lives.
God give you all strength.
Love,
Carole and Roy

I was privileged to know and work with Wayne, and am saddened by his passing. Please accept my condolences. Perhaps those of us who knew Wayne will find comfort in the words of the poet, Tagore: "Death is not the extinguishing of the light, It is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come." With sympathy, Claire Muhm

Lis, Lauren and family,
I am so sad for all of you, and for those who never had the opportunity to know the beloved Mr. Pom. To many of us who are friends of Lisa & Lauren, he was just "Wayne-o", a term that was sincerely one of endearment for us all. Even as adults I couldn't wait to hear from Lisa about Wayne-o's latest adventure/anecdote or photo of him with Lucas. I will miss Mr. Pom but feel very fortunate to have known him.
