As a friend and tennis partner of Marilyn’s, I have many fond memories of happy times spent with Marilyn both on the court and off. Our tennis games would end with a social gathering where we would share aspects of our children’s lives over a special glass of wine. We have fond memories of our trips to New Haven for a day of watching the Pilot Pen tennis. We would always enjoy Marilyn’s company at luncheons as well as dinners with Bob and her. We were always envious of Marilyn’s wonderful musical talents. My grand daughter, Amy, loved going to Marilyn and Bob’s house in Madison while her father was working as a contractor. Marilyn would let Amy play her piano and encouraged her to appreciate music. We will all miss Marilyn terribly but feel so lucky to have known her and enjoyed her friendship.
